Río Atoyac Puebla

Hotpixel participated in the "Río Atoyac" project with two interactives.

For the first, a virtual river was created using purified water from the Atoyac River onto which projections could be made. For this, a space was created using canals and pools. Through a series of touch screens placed around the projection area, visitors could send messages or images, which were then represented by small boats that floated through the projection. External participants could also participate by sending tweets with the “hashtag” #rioatoyac which would appear as words in the shape of waves in the digital river.

Another interactive for the same project was a tactile, multi-user map though which one could find out about environmental actions being carried out through active zones, with the goal of informing visitors about the plans to recover the Atoyac River.
